A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REMOTE SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
As a Remote Social Media Coordinator, you are key to our ability to get the word out about our online publishing brands. Each day, you make the short commute to your home office and tackle the interesting challenge of curating, writing, and publishing posts on a variety of social media platforms. Versatile in your digital marketing abilities, you post content to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube, but you also have your eye on other platforms and look for ways they might be incorporated into the mix. An organizer to the core, you plan out your posts in advance and make sure each one is scheduled to deploy at a certain time.
In addition, you collaborate with your team and strategize ways we can optimize our growth and engagement. Knowing that the proof is in the data, you develop a system for measuring our success. You then analyze the data that comes in, prepare reports, and offer creative recommendations for how we might improve. You enjoy tracking the analytics, but numbers aren't the most important thing to you. You know that behind the data are people whose lives are changed by their engagement with our believing and uplifting community. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REMOTE SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
- Experience with digital content creation and publication
- Experience engaging followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms
- Experience with web analytics such as Google Analytics and social media analytics tools such as Facebook Insights
Experience with content management systems such as WordPress would be a plus. Basic HTML experience would also be a plus. A degree in communications, marketing, or business would be a bonus. Possession of the equivalent in experience would also be a favorable alternative.
