A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REMOTE CONTENT CONTRIBUTOR MANAGER
As a Remote Content Contributor Manager, you help shape the direction and curate the content of our multi-faith-centered website Patheos. In cooperation with management, you develop strategies for our freelance writers, content creators, and bloggers to meet and exceed competitive goals. You collaborate with the senior director of content to create long- and short-term content calendars for multiple channels. Communicating by email, newsletters, and social media, you keep our freelancers informed about upcoming projects and due dates for their writing.
You speak with creators about how the job is going, answering questions and offering guidance concerning topic selection, headline writing, SEO, and copyediting. Attentive to detail, you oversee content proofreading and edit materials as needed. When freelancers meet targets, you ensure they are properly rewarded based on company strategy. You feel great about creating an environment where our freelance writers and our website can thrive!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REMOTE CONTENT CONTRIBUTOR MANAGER
- 2+ years of experience with editorial management of freelancers
- 2+ years of experience with the basics of content marketing and SEO
- Knowledge about online platforms like WordPress
A bachelor's degree in journalism, digital media, or a relevant field would be preferred but is not required. Experience with managing faith-friendly content creators or SEO certification would be a bonus. Can you effectively delegate tasks and coordinate activities?
